Empires Laid Waste: With the tide comes destruction

Empires Laid Waste is a sort of core-ish DM band from Perth, Australia; they debuted with their first full-length last year, and are now releasing this EP this year. And… I really don’t know what to say; you can only review so many label-sents and stubs for approximately 3 years without getting a lil’ tired of it. The most I can really say for this one is the production is sub-par, the growling is generic, and the songwriting an uninspiring collection of death/melo, doom, NWOBHM, thrash, metalcore, and deathcore/whatever else cliches, and it isn’t worth listening to one song off of it for one second. Not that it’s painful at all, just really, painfully generic material, not memorable or catchy at all.

5/10: Mehtastic.

After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
